Which economic sectors to target ?
How to measure progress ?
How to communicate this progress ?
Which tools to use for relevant data ?
ECOsystemIE proposes a personalized approach of Sustainable Management in three phases:
During these three phases, we elaborate with you a methodology that allows us to set up tracking and measuring tools called EcoMetrics and Eco Act.
During your sustainable management process, we must take into account all the actions that make up the goods or services that you want to offer to consumers. Thus, we will study the environmental, social and economic impacts of your production to ensure that it is responsible and sustainable.
We will also incorporate standards that will enable you to produce a durable good or service. The company could choose, among other things, to implement the ISO 14001 standard to better manage its environmental impacts or ISO 14040 and opt for an in-depth study of the impacts and damages created by the products or services through a life cycle analysis, ISO 14062 to eco-design or ISO 26000 to be socially responsible.
The company may also choose to eco-design its packaging by reducing the use of resources to reduce their impact. It will also seek to reduce its residual materials by applying the 3RVE strategy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Value Waste) and implement a zero waste policy.
In manufacturing, industrial ecology also calls in the principle of industrial symbiosis. Several industries transform, at the end of their processes, their waste or residuals into by-products and co-products to reuse the materials in their own processes or to offer it as products on the market.
In a world in transition, very soon, the manufacturing industries, in all aspects of their industrial processes, will be challenged to use renewable energy such as solar, wind, or biomass to decrease its global climatic impacts. In addition, due to international climate agreements, manufacturing industries will have to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels along the entire logistical chain, from deliveries to employee travel.
We work continually to develop and improve our methods and tools to provide your company with resources that will allow you to be in a market in constant transformation. We are always seeking to improve our assisted eco-conception approach using a hybrid tool for simplified life cycle analysis (SLCA), carbon footprint and greenhouse gas balance. With this preforming but simple tool, you can determine the carbon foot print of your products and services, as well as the impact on climate change, human health and ecosystem quality.
